This blog post is sponsored by Vintage Tub & Bath. I know what you're thinking. "Wow. That is a gorgeous tub. And you will *never* have time to use it." Wrong. I routinely shirk all adult responsibilities and silently retreat to the bathtub. Come to think of it, shirking responsibilities may actually be one of my spiritual gifts. Jake can vouch for this. Shopping Around During the building process I found bathtub shopping to be slightly daunting. First, there were the kids' alcove tubs that seemed to take 236 years to procure something modern yet affordable. By the time I got around to researching our freestanding tub for the primary bathroom, I was emotionally spent. OK. That was dramatic. I'll rephrase: I was eager to find a tub that would match our more ... [Read More]

Cybex PRIAM 3-in-1 Travel System Review
A huge thank you to the Evenflo Savvy Parents Sampling Program for providing me with the Cybex PRIAM 3-in-1 Travel System in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed below are my own. At first glance I was shocked by the incredibly high-end look and feel of this stroller. The seat fabric is excellent quality and so easy to clean. And the design? Chic. Minimalist. Gorgeous. Thoughtful Details Leather-look accents on the belly bar, handlebar, and matching strap make this kid hauler stand out from the crowd...the crowd of single, double, convertible, and travel strollers hanging out in my garage at this precise moment. Thoughtful engineering for the PRIAM includes features like an intuitive standing fold (one that even the grandparents may be able to operate) ... [Read More]
WAYB Pico Travel Car Seat Review
I have a confession. I am shamelessly addicted to crowdfunding. My sordid crowdfunding past Jake can tell you that a few of my historic Indiegogo and Kickstarter purchases have ranged from less than ideal (a la Jibo, the social robot) to abject failure. Nevertheless, a few have fully restored my faith in crowdfunding as an effective tool to bring innovative ideas to light. In October of last year I helped fund the WAYB Pico travel car seat, designed for kids ideally between 2 and 5 years old. My initial thought was that we could use this seat for Zella's upcoming drug trial. The trial will involve making frequent trips to New York City, using planes and taxis. I now love this car seat so much I'm rethinking the initial plan and currently using it as Zella's primary seat for as ... [Read More]
The Cybex Lemo Chair: a Product Review
I was given this European High Chair to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel in exchange for my honest review. The opinions below are my own. Practical and Beautiful Let me start by saying that there are really too many positives to list in a single review when it comes to the Cybex LEMO Chair. The low profile design is sleek looking in our kitchen area. It does not stand out like the stereotypical bulky baby gear, and there are plenty of unique color options to suit your individual taste. The comfort inlay on the LEMO appears durable and easily withstood a thorough wiping after an especially messy meal. I also found that the chair's snack tray removed quickly for easy cleaning at the sink. The wheeled back legs on the LEMO are a nice touch and provide excellent ... [Read More]
A Few Things…
I'll warn you - this is certainly a hodge-podge blog entry that you are about to read... Of course as you are reading you may end up getting some insight into my post-third child, nursing mom "world" at the moment, which consists of about a thousand very random thoughts entering my brain and then exiting just as soon as they arrived. Random thought no. 1: If you are a fan of gel manicures, you NEED to try out Red Carpet Manicure. Trust me. I'm a *constant* nail-biter...as in could NEVER grow my nails out because they would either immediately break off or get ripped off by yours truly. I have had a couple professional gel manicures done here in Augusta and although I am in love with the results (awesome looking nails for as long as 3 weeks!), I'm not a fan of the price tag (about $38, ...
