Cybex PRIAM 3-in-1 Travel System Review

Cybex PRIAM review

A huge thank you to the Evenflo Savvy Parents Sampling Program for providing me with the Cybex PRIAM 3-in-1 Travel System in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed below are my own.

At first glance I was shocked by the incredibly high-end look and feel of this stroller. The seat fabric is excellent quality and so easy to clean. And the design?

Chic.
Minimalist.
Gorgeous.

Thoughtful Details

Leather-look accents on the belly bar, handlebar, and matching strap make this kid hauler stand out from the crowd…the crowd of single, double, convertible, and travel strollers hanging out in my garage at this precise moment.

Cybex PRIAM in two-wheel mode for beaches and stairs
Two-wheel mode for beaches & stairs

Thoughtful engineering for the PRIAM includes features like an intuitive standing fold (one that even the grandparents may be able to operate) and a unique two-wheel mode for beaches or stairs. Note: if you have ever attempted to push a stroller through sand, you totally see why there may be a need for this feature. The reversible seat is roomy, even for Zella, and sports a nearly flat recline for tiny ones.

  • Massive extended canopy
  • Mesh peek-a-boo window

I was surprised to find a huge canopy that unzips to expand, providing even more sun protection. A convenient peek-a-boo mesh window provides ventilation and allows you to check on your little one. A magnetic closure prevents that sweet child from waking up to the heinous sound of two pieces of velcro being ripped apart. Score another point for Cybex!

Luxury Quality Ride

The PRIAM pushes like a dream thanks to all-wheel suspension. And although many luxury strollers seem to skimp on storage (probably fearing utter destruction of the design), this stroller has an incredibly large under seat basket and all without compromising the look. Yet another convenient magnetic closure allows the basket to expand when you need more room.

  • Swing away/swivel bumper bar
  • Finishing touch on canopy

Never fear when it comes to quick errands – the Cybex PRIAM is a true travel system that allows you to quickly and easily attach any compatible Cybex, Maxi-Cosi, or Nuna car seat using the provided adaptors. (Note: the Nuna Pipa Lite and Nuna Pipa Lite LX do not attach securely, but if you have the Nuna Pipa you are set!) Are you more of a bassinet mom the first few months, enjoying long walks in the park while your little one sleeps? (Does this even happen to people? If so, congratulations on seeing the light of day during any portion of the newborn phase). Unicorn moms: the PRIAM has you covered on this front as the Cybex bassinet is fully compatible with this beauty.

In addition to the infant car seat adaptors, Cybex also includes a cupholder plus rain cover without having to purchase additional accessories. And despite a higher price tag ($999.95), you can expect to be able to use the PRIAM for a good long while given the generous 55lb weight limit.

Kid Board Compatible

This really is a top notch luxury stroller. I only wish that Cybex could future-proof the PRIAM with the option for a second seat attachment. On the plus side, the Cybex kid board is compatible, so if your older child doesn’t need a full fledged seat, this may be an excellent option for your family.
