Apparently tutu dresses are in high demand these days…this past week I received two back to back orders for a specific peacock tutu dress. Both girls are wearing them for Halloween and one of them is also using it for a photo shoot. I’m so pumped about working on my 4th gown order! I’ve done zero paid advertising and yet somehow these customers are finding my shop in search results and actually checking out my listings…the whole prospect of it all is strange to me. I’m just glad that I get to create these dresses and then take pictures for my portfolio, and even though I’m not making much cash, it at least pays for my ridiculous attempts at crafting…oh Pinterest.
Once I’m done with these Halloween orders, I hope to get started on a couple Christmas, wintry gowns as I think they would be great for photo opportunities. The only problem with creating gowns in advance is that I’m never sure exactly how long to make them…hmmm…I guess I’ll make them a little longer than Vera’s size so I have the potential to let her be my (oh so destructive) model. She nearly set fire to the first peacock dress, so I’m not super willing to put her in another one of my creations just yet…if she would just calm down a bit…
